Northern Ireland

Crawfordsburn Located outside Belfast, the beach here has ramped access.  Parking is located down a path, all wheelchair accessible and only about a minute away from the beach.  There are also disabled toilet facilities in the car park, and a cafe in the Woodland Centre, where you can also loan mobility scooters.  There are also good paths for about 2 miles along the shore that are very good for wheelchair access.

Benone

This complex is located about 10 miles from Coleraine on the scenic north coast.  You can drive right onto the beach so it ideal for wheelchair users.  There are wheelchair toilet facilities (radar key locked) beside the beach, and also in the complex, which is a few minutes from the beach. You will also find a golf course, driving range, cafe and children's pool here. There is a disabled changing facility here at the pool. The beach is a few miles long and has great views of the coast.

Castlerock

A few miles before Benone, the town of Castlerock has a lovely beach, and this is also accessible for wheelchair users as you can again bring your car onto the beach.  There is a large wheelchair, radar key toilet before you go onto the beach.

Downhill

No toilet facilities here but again it's possible to bring your car onto the beach.  Downhill is between Castlerock and Benone along the north coast

Newcastle

The promenade here has recently been revamped, and the wheelchair access has been greatly improved.  The main beach at Newcastle has ramped access and also there is ramped access near the Slieve Donard hotel.  There are several wheelchair parking spaces in the Slieve Donard car park, and along the promenade there are several radar key locked wheelchair toilets, that are pretty clean, probably due to the fact that they are kept locked.

Portrush West Strand Beach

This is located near to Barry's amusement park and there are two ramps down to the beach.  One is located at the very right hand side of the beach and the other is about half way along.  There are wheelchair toilet facilities at this beach, on the grassy area beside the pathway that leads down to it.  The promenade is accessible too.
