The beach is shingle. A large car park by the Neptune's Arms (harbour wall).
The top of the beach is usually level with the promenade. The promenade,
central bandstand and gardens have been designed with disabled people in
mind and there are disabled toilets.

Whitstable |
Park in Cushing's View car park by the sea wall off Harbour Street. There is
a step and ramp to the beach. A newly installed wooden walkway runs from
here to the sailing club and harbour. The beach is shingle and is the same
level as the promenade.
