Angie Gardiner, who is a life-long camper and caravanner,
founded this site. She, and her husband Tim, have a disabled son, Richard, who
is a wheelchair user and they became so frustrated regarding the lack of
information about facilities for the disabled on caravan sites that Angie
decided to produce this website.
The sites listed have the minimum requirements for
disabled people of a shower, basin and loo with ramped access.
Please note that she has not inspected all the sites personally, they have been
recommended by other campers and caravanners.
If you discover any inaccuracies or you know of any other
caravan sites with good disabled facilities that could be included please email
Angie on the address below.
She has also started a page of beaches in the UK
which are accessible, but not always by wheelchair users, please let her have
details of any that you know of. The beaches already listed have come by
recommendation and have not been personally checked.
